Plastic hearts will always remain my fave album of hers, however ESV is such a close second. The cohesion in this album is just incredible. Plus I have so many faves. River, violet Chemistry, Thousand Miles, Jaded, Handstand, You and Island are all stand outs for me.

So glad she put You in this album as fell in love with it from the Attention live album. Miley truly is the most underrated queen in this industry. Keep slaying 🙌👑🙌

Get that fire exit door, I’m off...

Ok this album is pure perfection. The only song I used to skip was Muddy Feet but now I love this one as well. She's on the higher level of her carrier.

This album is so good! It's very mature and cohesive. I love seeing her evolution and this era is very exciting - she seems confident, at peace, and fully realized.

I thought about the "ft. Sia" a bit earlier today and came to the conclusion that I wanna believe the following: Miley was working on the song when Sia showed up at the studio for whatever reason. M. played the song and they started jamming, singing, having a good time up to the point where M. just said she really likes Sia's input (Sia's vocal range is undeniable, her level of bs-ery as well sadly..) and would like to use it on the final song, so she asked her if its ok if she did and puts an "ft. Sia" on the title.

I'm saying all of this because I sometimes feel we always expect these features to be a big thing, an almost equal 50:50 split of the song, where in reality I think musicians often times are just artists, who know each other and like to create together, so their ego can handle it quite easy if they only do a backing vocal or something like that.

That being said, I love the idea of the song a lot, tho its not my favorite one on the record

I listened today and was quite bored tbh…had much higher expectations :/ Cohesive? Yes. Memorable? Not so much….

Exactly my first impression. I saw the Poolside Sessions. Looks like a fund raising event rehearsal...

Late to the party but I got a diamond heart

I’m giving the album a 7/10. The songs are good but I feel like this mellow pop sound doesn’t really suit her voice, like she sounds like she is holding back vocally in some songs. She sounds amazing in Wonder Woman though, that song is 10/10. I think the sound on PH suited her way more. (Also, why did they run You with that production, I can'ttttt)

A bit bored. A good 7 out of 10 for me. The production is so basic. What’s with all the girls nowdays with basic production. Is a mix of Taylor’s Lover and Lana. Strange.

I mean, I love her voice but I agree. Is almost like elevator lounge music. Unmemorable

How does this description add up to a solid 7?

fragment-fragment--bul-uh...scab-uh..fragment-foot, bullet fragment foot bich!

I think it's one of her better albums but I expected something a bit more uptempo and a bit more obviously summery. I don't know what the point was of the features when it just sounded like background vocals and I don't know why Muddy Feet was put on this as its lack of cohesion of the sound present makes it stick out like a sore thumb. I like You and Wonder Woman the most but most of the tracks are just slightly above average and that's about it. I also think Island sound a lot like Princess Die (is that just me?). I think she's picked the best singles so far, but there is a lack of hits here other than Flowers and River. Decent and inoffensive, but nothing that really moves the needle. Plastic Hearts remains her opus thus far.

Mixed feelings. Love some of the tracks, the other ones feel rather bland imo. Muddy, River, Wonder Woman, You (glad she put it on her album), and Jaded are the standouts for me.
