ARTPOP really is the problematic ex boyfriend that this fanbase won't stop calling back because he is fun on the outside but causes so much drama when he actually shows up.

There's also power and healing in reclaiming your trauma and transforming it into something beautiful tho. I think fans are quick to say that she never wants anything to do with ARTPOP again, but don't forget she's performed songs from it as recently as 2020.

Do I think she'll do a re-rerelease or Act II? Prob not. But do I think she'll incorporate it more into future sets? For sure.

And if you didn't clue in, Gaga put an entire pop album out about relieving herself of the anxiety her fame gave her. (Chromatica literally is the **** you to ARTPOP and what it did to her.)

IMO opinion Chromatica is the answer to her depression/mental health in 2018, as referenced in the Oprah 2020 interview. I'd argue Joanne contrasts to ARTPOP much more - Gaga working through all the demons that lead her to her 2013 state.

Chromatica was a step in the right direction and LG7 is my priority because I trust what she does in the present. Being said that, I do want to hear Act 2 or at least some of the songs that almost made it like Temple and Tea. The album is obviously very personal to her but so are Joanne and Chromatica. She has gone to therapy, she wrote those songs to feel better. No one is forcing her to release it and I think it's nice that the fans still want and think about this after almost a decade. The petition made her happy and I'm sure she's proud of that work, both Gaga and Paul.

I'd be here for whatever happens but if she were to say that she doesn't want to release those songs, I'd just move on.

I think some of us sober folks might understand what really happened after ARTPOP, if you know what I mean, and this type of music can be very...dangerous, for someone like Gaga.

What even do you mean by this?

This is all so dramatic, no one is pressuring anyone and why do we need to stop asking for ARTPOP act II when hyping LG7 is just the same by that logic? It's both "putting pressure" on Gaga, she's not going to change her vision for LG7 just because fans are asking for ARTPOP act II. She knows what she's doing, if she wants to release and/or incorporate ACT II in LG7 then she'll do it because it will feel right to her and not just because fans are asking for it.

The era being traumatic doesn't mean that she thinks of ARTPOP negatively, she literally commented "my soul" on an ARTPOP related tiktok video very recently so clearly ARTPOP still matters to her.

I don't think Chromatica is about what happened during the ARTPOP era, to me it was always more about the fans asking Gaga to do promo all the time : "You love the paparazzi, love the fame even though you know it causes me pain". That's where the pressure is coming from for her, and that's not what we're asking when we talk about ARTPOP act II.

I don't think Gaga has fully admitted it but I suspect she is an addict. There is alot of stuff even lyrically that has hinted this. It's something this fanbase won't talk about much but....she literally has quoted the AA Big Book in her lyrics before.

I think she has and still does struggle with sobriety and that is a huge reason why she needs these "breaks". Being that addiction is a mental health disease, it's easier for her to say "mental health" than get into the specifics. But anyone who has suffered from the disease of addiction and becomes a Lady Gaga fan can hear the pain/struggle in her lyrics. Sometimes I think fans think she is talking about fame and pop culture when she really is using that as a metaphor for drugs and alcohol.

They both kind of, sadly, go hand in hand.

When I say this I am not saying I know for sure, for the record. Just that...I suspect this and would not be shocked if she came out and admitted she was an alcoholic/ addict. I struggle with addiction myself and some of the things she has said has been...something only someone who has done the 12 steps would really deeply connect with.

Y'all need to get a grip. Only an ARTPOP post could create this many personally offended users. He is speaking truth and anyone who thinks this fanbase isn't trying to pressure Gaga (to the point where we created a petition) is delusional. I am in awe that people still expect an Act 2 and I am happy Gaga is completely ignoring ARTPOP stans. :saladga:

I don't know if it matters, really. The disease is all the same. I know she has been public about cocaine. But I think she might deal with some form of addiction. Pills/alcohol/etc. Doesn't matter. I just think it's pretty obvious that she has a problem with addiction and she has the typical symptoms/character defects that we talk about in recovery.

She has admitted to it all her career though? It's not some secret.

Love how fans act like they speak for her. Yes ARTPOP era was traumatizing for her, but that doesn’t mean she hates ARTPOP or anything. DJWS and Gaga literally DISCUSSED doing something for ARTPOP Act 2. She doesn’t hate the album. She commented on a TikTok about ARTPOP and said “my soul”. She is still proud and passionate about ARTPOP whether it was traumatizing or not.

If she believes the music is good enough then perhaps she’ll consider releasing it. And if it isn’t then we’ll just move on to LG7. I don’t think it’s a big deal. After the ARTPOP trauma, I think she’s learned to prioritize her own mental health more than ever. She’s not going to release a subpar album and get criticized to the end of time just because her fans demand it.

There are no bad Lady Gaga albums because she’s a musical genius (imo). Whatever she decides to do, I think we can trust her to deliver.
