Of course, excesses can be be justified to an extend when a country is at war, but this still raises a lot of questions. Maps are and have been important in war and peacetime because they convey hidden goals and ideas, we saw many maps of Russian irrendetism and now we have a taste of Ukrainian territorial ambitions.

ukraine is struggling to defend its own territory let alone annexing some of russia and forcing it to splinter further. idk if this is fake news but it doesn't make sense and surely everyone involved knows that

It's a caption from a video interview with Budanov and neither Ukrainian nor Russian media deny it, so it must be a real thing. That said, Budanov also expects Putin to ''get ill'' and die sometime in the next 2 years. So he probably expects Russia to crumble and leave behind a power vacuum.

There were also rumors of Ukrainian troops inside Russia proper for months, the first case was confirmed only a few days ago in Bryansk oblast. This reffers to actual boots on the ground, but recently we also had the Ukrainian strikes on military facilities in Engels and near Moscow.

Please there is naturally going to be a ukraine fatigue right now after 11 months. If you're going to make a thread about Ukraine, please make it about something important instead of these silly rumors.

We're not gonna make a thread everytime a ukrainian official makes fun of Russia are we?

these silly rumors.

What rumor?

You are so caught up in war activism, it's tiring. And the cognitive dissonance of you saying the other day that Palestine and Israel should both give up on their claims and just form a one state because the conflict is nuanced, but when it comes to Ukraine you argue THE MOST MAXIMALISTIC GOALS that could ever take place :lmao:As if the dictators will look at this precedent and be inspired to annex lands from other countries, as if Israel wasn't illegally occupying parts of Jerusalem for decades and the US just moved its embassy there in illegaly occupied land. Also, if this eventually happens make no mistake, you will be justifying it because you will support anything ''your side'' ever does no matter how questionable.

How do I argue the "most maximalistic goals"? Last time I spoke about Ukraine here, I said that the solution for me would be for the West to help Ukraine regain all territory lost since February 23rd and maybe negotiate a ceasefire afterwards. How is this maximalistic? :toofunny:

I know Ukraine wants to take back Crimea which is rightfully theirs according to the U.N and international law. But that step is better undertaken diplomatically in the future.

Since you disagree with me, I assume that you want to fully or partially legitimize the referendums held under russian occupation in September and give Russia that land? That wouldn't surprise me coming from you.

But anyway, I know you enough now, so I'm not gonna waste more time arguing with you.

Oh look it’s Ff’s weekly Ukraine smear campaign :green:

Is this true or is this false? If this is true, why is the truth inconvenient? Should truth be sacrificed for the sake of narrative (like the Russians are doing)?

You did say that you support Ukraine retaking all of Donbas and Crimea. Maybe you later changed your view, but nonetheless you said so at one point.

Examining ''UN and the international law'' - the UN doesn't recognize Taiwan as a full member bc of the 1 China policy, 1/2 of the world believes Kosovo is Serbian, US backed Israel is unequivocally occuping territories of Palestine. Yet somewhow American foreign policy has a different stance on each o them irrespective of UN and international law. :spin:

Lies, disinformation, bullsh*t. Nothing from Russian “news” outlets can be trusted. If people don’t know that by now, they never will comprehend it. Ukrainian people want to distance themselves from Russia because of this war, not annex parts of it.

Nothing of what you said has any basis in fact or in what’s going on in Ukraine. Just stop and maybe educate yourself using actual credible sources and not disinformation and propaganda sources. And look up some interviews with President Zelenskyy, it’s clear what his intentions are and what the intentions of all Ukrainians are. Russia is just making up more garbage per usual to justify the killing of thousands of innocent Ukrainian people and destruction of their cities and infrastructure.
