Rihanna reportedly has hardly rehearsed for her Super Bowl performance

True! I’m just saying that from the ground up, she’d need more time than 2 months. If it really is just rehearsals then that’s no biggie but the article implies there’s a little more chaoticness happening too. I hope it’s a great show though

She owes the NFL a performance she apparently isn’t prepping for. I hate this argument that gets thrown around about how celebs don’t owe us anything, blah blah. It only works like that to a certain extent. Sure they don’t owe us personal details and parts of their private lives or touring that is detrimental to their health. But they made their careers off of appealing to fans, making music, PERFORMING, etc. if they stop doing that, fans have every right to not show up. It’s a mutual relationship - they provide art, we provide money for that art. She booked this gig knowing what it entails. She does indeed owe what she is taking a check or signing a contract for. 
 

It’s perfectly fair to be disappointed in an artist you’ve stood behind for years who books the biggest gig in the country and apparently doesn’t really even seem to care. I’d say the same if it were Gaga.

Rihanna could just show up and barely move and still rock the crowd with all her hits. She is unconventional so we will see how she approaches it. She won’t try and do a Beyoncé or Gaga type of performance. And I expect the guest acts to play a big role. Looking forward to watching her, first performance in years where I’m actually hyped. She’s just been away for so long!

The Chromatica Ball rehearsals were only a month long and that was a 2 hour show with lots of choreography. I'm sure everything will turn out great 😊

She was HOURS late for a meeting, let’s not start excusing that. There are people counting on her, she made a commitment. It’s unprofessional. I’m less concerned with her rehearsals, it’s like when she does her songs. She just comes up when it’s time to do the vocals. I’m sure her team already plotted out everything and it’s going to look cool she just needs to know her blocking.

Tbh I don't think we can compare the two of them. Most of the people who worked with Gaga said she is very consistent and hardcore with her work ethic and is always pushing herself to the limit (as in, i.e., doing acrobatic stunts and almost nonstop dancing while singing live and alone for the entire 14 minutes during her Halftime Show). I'm sure Rihanna will do fine but maybe she won't be part of the choreography as much the other pop girls and will rely on charisma, hits and production of the show.

didn’t rehearsals not truly start for gaga until the new year? i know she was training physically (singing on the stairclimber thing and such) for months but i mean actual rehearsals. i don’t think rihanna would throw away an opportunity like this…at least i hope not. i’ve been so excited to see her show!
