What do you want LG7 to sound like vs. what will it actually sound like?

I'll go first.

What I don't want LG7 to sound like:

This might be controversial, but I don't think I want it to be a pure dancepop album (although I love danceGa). This is for two reasons: (1) Chromatica is still pretty recent, and (2) I don't want Gaga to come across like she "chasing trends" or "making tired music" or "trying to recreate past hits"... which is how I feel the GP kind of views Madonna with her recent albums.

What I want LG7 to sound like:

Firstly, I really want this album to tell specific personal stories -- whether they're about love, sex, the industry, being a woman, being Gaga, or anything else. I want to listen to the songs and picture moments in my head. I feel like this is usually a weak point for Gaga, as many of her hits are more conceptual with vague metaphorical lyrics. Examples of this kind of storytelling can be found throughout Beyonce's Lemonade, Billie's Happier Than Ever or anything Taylor releases. The song Speechless comes really close to this.

Sonically, I feel like an interesting direction could be a cohesive R&B/pop album (like Ariana's Positions), which is mature and timeless, but still cool and sexual. I'd love to hear her voice more relaxed and subdued (example: So Happy I Could Die) rather than an over-the-top vocal performance like Hold My Hand. Another idea I would love is actually the exact opposite -- rather than a cohesive tight album, a very loose album with long songs that meander through different genres with interesting production. An example of something like this would be Frank Ocean's blonde. The songs take unexpected twists and turns, feel very unstructured and free, and create a "mood" rather than catchy moments. As an example, maybe that would sound kind of like Bloody Mary with a long outro that turns into a different song.

What I think LG7 will sound like:

With all the recent love for ARTPOP and Bloody Mary, I can see Gaga going back to the archive to search for inspiration, being influenced by both of those albums, and focusing on pop music. I would be fine with that too :)

When Gaga wrote Chromatica she took lots of Inspo from 90s House/Dance Music. I think it‘d be fun if she reinterpreted the 80s again - big Choruses, dramatic arrangements, weird effects. Almost like Synth-Rock-Pop with a few Piano ballads and a few dark pop Bops.

I’d love to hear:

- A Showtunes cover album

- A full pop rock album with 80s vibes like Perfect Illusion, Love is a Battlefield, RUTH etc.

- An ethereal album like Sarah Mclachlans Surfacing or Fiona Apples Tidal

I want her next to do a Disco / Funk / Soul album, fun but not too cheesy.

or maybe something different like explore deep into Electronica / Trip Hop or a bit of Deep House

Space Cowboy

I'd love a pop rock record full of Yoü & Is.

I honestly think we're gonna get a big disco album? I could be way wrong though.

As long as it has good lyrics and is catchy I don't care what genre(s) it is. I like lots of different kind of music so for me it's not about the style rather than if it's actually good

I'll be myself until they fūcking close the coffin.

She’s so unpredictable. My dream would be a revival of BTW gothic industrial vibes but heavier and more rock/metal-oriented - but ultimately rooted in pop and dance. I think we’re gonna get something more classic though but hopefully the BM success does push her back to her roots.

I want an album where she goes back to the influence of Pat Benatar and Blondie, such as she did with songs like Hair and Highway Unicorn. Also some productions by Fernando Garibay, even a few more songs like Hold My Hand.

I want a pure pop album. I want another album like the fame but make it more modern and fresh with a few ballads thrown in.
