Personally I’d rather see an entertainer, but that’s my preference.

I have seen Taylor and she has good stage presence and good vocals, but I always felt like it was missing something.

In my messy era.

It's crazy that people calling Taylor overrated. :laughga:
She is amazing. Britney is amazing too. Selena Gomez is amazing too. :glamourpuss:

It takes a smart brunette to play a dumb blonde.

I think diluting her success down to “Taylor Swift fans are just white, rich republicans” is really unfair :rip:

There’s much more to it than that…

It’s gonna make more money. They are selling 170k more tickets this week , via the boosted fans ticket requests.

To think this is still US only, imagine the gross when she adds her international dates.

it is absolutely unfair. i can say that although i don’t like taylor as a person, i do enjoy her music time to time. she really encapsulated some of the abusive and less than ideal experiences i have had as a woman in a relationship with some of her songs, but according to some user here not grounded in reality, you have to make music to speak to a certain demographic but god forbid that a woman ever makes music to strike a chord with another woman. crazy how misogynistic people on this website can be for mostly pop women.

It Is something beatiful to hear that you find a relation in some Taylors Song to your abusive experience. No one Is saying that she should or must write for a certain demographic. She can do what She wants. The impression Is anyway that she appeals a certain demographic without necessarily wanting that...I do not understand why one Is mysoginist if one, either man or woman or whatever, does not find her music relatable.

she was huge for my time (millennial) and gained cross generational appeal with gen z with folklore and evermore.

people say she’s overrated, okay sure. that’s a matter of personal opinion. but i mean, she sings and writes all of her own music and directs her own videos and can play multiple instruments. i’m not sure what people want more from an artist. unironically i saw some “beyoncé” name drops in here and obviously she’s an excellent vocalist and dancer but she doesn’t write her own music or play an instrument. so what’s more important, to be considered a music great?

Taylor swift is A LOT more talented than Beyoncé that’s for sure

i just don’t understand why Taylor’s music itself is so popular

Mama... that is WACK! They are very talented in different areas. As a writer, Taylor is stronger than Beyonce. As an entertainer and performer, Beyonce is stronger than Taylor.

I personally prefer Beyonce. But to say that one is more talented than the other... it's wack.

The reality is, if you actually search radio requesting and ad data sites like Ad Explorer, even data from Nielsen SoundScan, you can find where Taylor Swift's numbers come from. And it is, quite frankly, vastly unfair how much her numbers are primarily driven from mostly suburban areas of major wealthier American cities. Why does this suggest her concert sales are not an indicator of her actual popularity in number of people?

Me and my Hispanic chicas assembling to fight the Suburban girlies for their Eras tickets. Effectively starting a race war in the name of Taylor Alicia Hernandez Swift

No. Beyonce is a 100 time more talented than Taylor. Taylor is good also but she's a smart business woman. Can you imagine her doing the tough choreos Beyonce does and the vocals run that Beyonce slays????

Love it when you call me legs, in the morning buy me eggs 🥚

To be honest if we take Gaga, Taylor, Adele, Beyoncé or...it Is very difficult to say who is the most talented . Each one of them is talented in a different way. Taylor has something that Gaga or Adele could possibly miss and viceversa. I totally DISLIKE Taylor but It would be not sincere of me to say she is not talented.  She Is definitively talented...and for me...just for me... totally overrated with her safe, boring white middle class american music. But that'  s another story because she can write, compose etc and she has talent. Here sometime people consider  Taylor as God or the most talented artist just because she is the " music business ". This is a distorted wrong  perspective. For me for example Bjork is at any level smarter and better than Taylor but she Is "niche" ..not for the masses. Bjork is surely underrated but music business  and Life in general are  not right. I was laughing when i read someone here spent 1250 dollars for something like Taylors music  but then I realized It was not correct. I did the same for other artists. So enjoy your Taylor Swift no matter if It costs you 1250 dollars or 1 billion and be Happy.

theyre both talented in their own ways how 'bout that? beyonce has better vocals and dance moves. taylor writes her own songs and connects deeper with her audiences, hence her stan base being so enormous and crazy
