How many times are they gonna reset the DCEU, they’re trying to be like the MCU and it’s just not gonna happen for them. Give us more dark and gritty films like The Batman and Joker.

Gunn is turning from the DCEU savior to the most hated person by DC fans in less than 2 weeks

tbh he hasn't been Superman since JL, I don't understand why he came back, he basically left the role and move on and landed on even greater role, became even more popular and then he did a very bad decision to come back to the place that he didn't find himself fit and lost the Witcher role along the way.

I hope the MCU will contact with him again and the rumors that he's the new Bond are true, because this is really wild and he doesn't deserve this treatment.

 

There are also rumors that Momoa will have a new role and Gadot is totally out.

Allegedly he was encouraged to announce he was returning via social media by WB....so I'm wondering if he actually did sign a contract (it's hard to buy he announced the role/dropped The Witcher without anything in writing) but there was as clause that let them fire him.

NGL, getting a bit worried about Joker 2. Gunn is talented and I can even understand a hard reset, but the way he's handled both Patty Jenkins and Henry Cavill has been fairly gross (100% believe he was behind that quasi hit piece on Patty in THR). Really hope he doesn't get heavy handed and push Todd Phillips around in regards to the editing or the release date.

I'm also kind of curious about the new Superman script he's writing. People love to sh*t on Taika now because of the last Thor, but he's shown range beyond slapstick comedy and has 4-5 v. good films under his belt plus he's heavily involved in several TV series. Gunn hasn't really shown that range or has that kind of track record, yet, imo.

But both him and the WB knew he would take the position months prior to the release of the film. He was not promoted from sales partner to assistant manager, people 

So again, while Gunn might not have had the official power yet at that point the WB team and him surely had a talk about him because he probably had to pitch them a rough idea of his DCEU. So they knew the implication

I mean... I liked his Superman and Gal Gadot's Wonder Woman and Aquaman, too... But the DCEU has been a mess, I think a reboot it's the only way to fix the problems at this point

Yeah, it's crazy to see the complete 180 some people have done on Gunn  

As you said, the person who is affected most by this is Henry The fact that he basically left The Witcher for Superman and now he's lost both jobs has gotta hurt  

There's been rumors that Marvel has met with Cavill, but to be completely honest, I don't know if I'd want him in the MCU. I just feel like it's going to bring so much unnecessary baggage. Maybe he could do a supporting role, but I don't know if I see him being a big player in the MCU. I think he'd be a great Bond though, so I'd like him to focus on that route.

As for Momoa and Gadot, I would assume that they are out—as well as everyone who's been involved in DCEU. If they're rebooting the universe, they need to clear house, even if that means making the difficult decisions to get rid of the good parts of the DCEU. Like, even with Peacemaker, the Suicide Squad, and Margot's Harley Quinn, I can't see how Gunn keeps them but then reboots everything else.
