Controversiaga 11,313
Megan Trainer. There is nothing wrong w her music, but every song sounds like it came off the same album, since her debut. Now, I think it’s awesome when artists have a unique signature sound that makes them them and carry’s through their entire career, but I still don’t feel like Meghan is evolving in anyway at all. Whereas someone like Lana Del Rey or even MARINA has done a good job at staying true to their style, while still expanding and pushing their own boundaries. meghan is not pushing any boundaries ever. And it makes me feel like she’s a puppet behind a songwriting factory . who do you think Pronounced like “Balenciaga” . Emphasis on the “Ga”
bionic 50,107
Katy Perry very similarly to Meghan Trainor branched out a bit, flopped, then returned immediately to the comfort of their classic sound. Meghan managed to pull it off so Lord knows why KP didn't manage to.

Guest
Lana could've realesed 7 Born To Die records, and I'd love every single one. Still her best work imo

Smother Em Eh 7,132
Katy Perry tbh and I’m actually a fan. She branches out with something a little different (Witness) then goes back to safe cookie cutter Pop Music (Smile). I think she’s capable of doing way better! Get Applause & G.U.Y to 1B views! JgHaus78 1,981
If Katy released a record like One of The Boys today, it would be so well received. Her voice sounds so good over over rock music.
