Gaga hasn't done anything in public in the past month. Since Shallow grew in many countries at the same time, it is not caused by a film screening on TV or a talent show. I think sending it to radio would really help prolong its longevity in the UK. I've heard it in a few gay clubs here and ofc they love it, such a surreal experience!
