A lot of people see HER as an artist who, despite being heavily promoted and awarded in the industry, has very little pop culture impact / not a very engaged fanbase, and I don’t think they’re wrong. I like HER (she’s undeniably talented) but as far as I know, she hasn’t really had a huge radio hit or many memorable moments in pop culture (plus her fanbase certainly seems smaller and less engaged than the other pop girls).
 

This perception has led many to claim she is an industry plant — which I don’t actually believe lol but I can see why people make the jokes about it.  (No hate at all to HER I’m just explaining why the shade sometimes comes through.)
