The whole pronoun thing has gotten to the point of absurdity but like some have said I can just choose to ignore them which I do. And if people really hate Elon STOP using Twitter!

Has it though? A very small portion of people take it to the extreme, majority of people just want to be addressed by how they identify and rightfully so. I think having pronouns in your bio is a good way to avoid awkward situations if you accidentally misgender someone. I really don't think it's that big a deal.

The thing about Twitter is that it's more than just a social media, for a lot of people they've built communities or need to use it for career connections. I'm sure if there was an equal alternative they would leave but there just isn't at the moment. Until then we'll continue to flame him on his own site :hor:

but some of this pronouns are getting out of hand tho..i saw some people on tiktok stating that their pronous is God/Godself

..Galaxy/Galaxelf because they say they are aliens

..like how can i take you seriously tho.

Yeah it’s like people are taking that old “I identify as an Apache attack helicopter” meme and making it a reality lol

Simple solution though, if ever forced to interact with someone like that just use their name in every instance instead of their “pronoun”

You can also always choose to not interact with or talk about those people. Like, if you don't have anything nice to say...

Regardless if they are being serious or they are troll accounts making fun of neopronouns or what have you, it costs nothing to mind your own business. There is a conversation to be had about how untenable those pronouns are, at this point in time, but to uncritically dismiss them as nonsense and make fun of them is truly neither kind nor good. In fact, its kind of disgusting.

I think it’s neither good nor kind to entertain someone’s delusion that they’re a literal alien from outer space.

y’all aren’t we tired…he’s just tweeting shocking things to boost activity on twitter so advertisers go “wow the platform isn’t dying!” then they put more money into the platform.

I believe it has gotten to be absurd personally. We live in a society where language is used to communicate. Saying your pronoun is Cloud for example doesn’t have any value in communicating and therefore is absurd to me.

And people aren’t owed respect. It has to be earned. And if being called a self invented pronoun is the starting point of me getting to know you (and I have to do mental gymnastics to remember how to talk to you), then I’ll take a hard pass and would rather not communicate with you.

I think people should use whatever pronouns the person in question prefers. However what I do not like is some people changing their pronoun every year. For example when Demi added 'she/her/hers' back to her pronouns this year after identifying as non binary last year. She's more in touch with her female energy this year. This sends such a damaging message to people who already don't believe in non binary that it is all just a phase. It's like pick a side. You cant be non binary one year and back to female the next. Is gender fluid now? It's super confusing for me and sounds more like an identity crisis to me. It has nothing to do with discrimination and more with people feeling the need to identify as anything before really actually living and experiencing it.

Ok, let's use other pronouns on purpose for all the people who share her mindset.

Tbh the pronouns thing has been exploited at this point by many trolls, people outside the lgbt and heck even some members of the lgbt have started capitalizing on it for selfish gains. It’s either he, she, or they/them. Anything else, I won’t engage in personally.

Fair enough but these are sooooooooo rare and possibly all trolls yet they're often presented as your regular trans person.

Seriously I'm not even sure all the "cloud pronouns" mentioned by other members above etc aren't just transphobes giving bullets to their side with fake "cloud" accounts.
