Gonçalo Ramos
, a name barely anyone knew before today, is now on everyone's lips! He has now tied Mbappe (considered the best footplayer player in the world) for most goals scored in the World Cup so far.

His story? After some drama between the Portugese coach and Cristiano Ronaldo (who was rude to a south korean player in the previous game), the coach opted to bench Ronaldo in the game against Switzerland. And boy did it pay off MIGHTLY. Ramos scored a hat trick, goal after goal after goal, easily proving that the Portugese team might be better off without Ronaldo.

The new 21 y/o player might've just ended Cristiano Ronaldo's career. Is Ramos rise a threat to Cristiano Ronaldo?

BBC headlines today are kinda ruthless: 'Cristiano Ronaldo reduced to role of superstar nobody wants'

And better off without him they certainly were as Portugal rewarded coach Fernando Santos's courage in dropping his country's sporting icon with the complete attacking performance and a 6-1 win over Switzerland that sets up a World Cup quarter-final against Morocco.

Ronaldo is 37, nowhere near the player he used to be. Looks like Portugal may have found a way to move forward without him. They have a serious chance now in this world cup. They have a very talented group of players and they are a tough-minded bunch. Switzerland aren't generally in the business of losing 6-1.
