Alright list but they should've made room for at least one of these masterpieces:

Midnights-Taylor Swift

emails i can't send-Sabrina Carpenter

The Gods We Can Touch-AURORA

teaching a robot to love (extra data)-Amelia Moore

Pitchfork only rated that album 6.4 lmao

So it is obvious they don't consider it into the list

I mean yeah lol no one is doing albums of the sheer scope that Beyoncé did this year. Like at just first listen you can glean that there’s a lot to dissect and dig into and yet it also can serve as a very strong dance pop album in its own right. Honestly another incredible album from her. Love to see her having found her footing artistically and just blazing it. Who knew early albums were the tryout when you have one like B-Day

I must have missed all that content when I listened 'cause to me the album just seems like some "pots and pans" music :bear:

Bops, yeah, but I guess I didn't look close enough...not that I want to, I dislike the genre

I'm just like 🧍‍♂️

No wonder you get sick at parties if you dislike Dance music :D

All jokes aside, I'm impressed, she's pretty much the only mainstream popstar on the list and also somehow managed to be #1 on it too. Well done Bey!

You thought *renaissance* was pots and pans?…the album that is damn near her most retro yet? I mean there’s a metallic percussion here and there, but you hear cuff it, Virgo’s groove, plastic off the sofa, break my soul, energy, move, heated, cozy, or summer renaissance and think pots and pans? I think that’s the first time I’ve heard someone attribute that characteristic to this album :laughga: I’m genuinely shocked hahahaha
