First, I want to thank everyone for sending in their submissions. A total of 29 people sent in their submissions, and the total number of submissions reached a whopping 643 across all categories! I selected the top submissions from Stage 1 and organized them in the lists that will be revealed in a bit. Of course, not all submissions qualified. Here are the rules for Stage 2: In this second stage, participants will be provided with a list of submissions for each category collected in the first stage. From these lists, we will create the final nominees ballot that will serve as the official GGD Grammy Awards nominees. The General Field categories will be reduced to 10 nominees each, while the rest of the categories will be reduced to 5 nominees each. These numbers are subject to change in the event of (1) not enough submissions to reach 10 or 5 nominees or (2) a tie, which would lead to more than 5 nominees. -Participants will pick from this list the entries they want to see nominated. -Participants may pick up to 10 submissions in the General Field categories and up to 5 submissions in the genre-specific and others categories. The Form won't allow you to proceed if you pick more. -Anyone can vote during this stage, including people who did not participate in the first stage. -Everyone must vote for the General Field categories, but participants are free to skip genre-specific and others categories if they choose to. -The lists are included in the Google Form that you will fill. -In some categories, the nominees have been automatically selected due to the small number of submissions (these categories are pointed out in the Form and will be pointed out during the reveals). -The nominees will be announced after the votes are complete and the deadline (Dec. 22) has passed. For now, the lists will be revealed based on the categories (general, pop, rock, etc.) and will be included in spoilers to avoid cluttering the thread. You will also find them all in the Stage 2 spoiler in the OP, as well as the Google Form that I will post once the reveals are done. Reveals will begin shortly!
