It's the fact that you hear less about these conflicts in general. Azerbaijan vs Armenia, Ethiopia, Yemen, Palestine vs Israel (the 2022 stuff) etc. On one hand these are not in Europe, the West also doesn't have anything to gain by heavily supporting one side (apart from Israel). And all these conflicts are being talked about from the assumption that both sides have to some extend a point, this suddenly ceases to be a case when the US circumstantially is placed in the position of supporting the country who happens to be right (Ukraine) - and granted, the fact that the war in Ukraine is in Europe made it easier to attract more attention).
