Teletubby 150,108
L'Officiel: Do you think it is difficult to be a female artist in a world dominated by male artists? Rita: I've always been proud to be a woman. But I don't think it makes sense to talk about gender anymore, because it's only the message of the artist and how well that reaches the audience that matters. Getting heard as a musician is an accomplishment for me and that's already half the battle. Of course, there are still battles and causes to be fought, and we have to thank icons who first of all fought for equal rights in the world of music and in life in general. They are women who I consider a constant source of inspiration: Madonna, Cher, Lady Gaga, Beyoncé and Jennifer Lopez. https://www.lofficielitalia.com/moda/rita-ora-intervista-mtv-ema-awards-2022-foto-immagini-look L'Officiel The Art Issue: the brilliant Rita Ora "You b*tch!" ~ Rat Boy

Economy 49,902
Also not to criticize the point in principal but on a more technical note someone want to explain why fights against double standards or misogyny and stuff like that always get referred to as "fighting for our rights"? I always found that inacurate in many cases. Women technically have the same rights as men in the music industry by law... So the issue isn't a matter of rights per say, they are there already. It's social prejudice and double standards that ur fighting because it causes abuse or mistreatment in some way I find with LGBTQ sometimes it's the same thing. Sometimes in some contexts it's a matter of rights because the law in many jurisdictions literally tamples on their rights But very often in other contexts it's not about rights, it's social prejudice and people still use the term "fight for our rights"... I dunno I've always thought that and at the end of the day it's just semantics and terminology so not the most important but I find it odd cuz it's so inacurate
