I hate that creating a third party causes people to fall into a trap. There are always issues that are too important to not vote 3rd party, but then that causes a third party to never be able to have equal power to other parties. It's awful.

Ehhhh a lot of this partisanship has been created from within each party, with each stating the worst case objectives of the other, fear mongering, straight up fabrication, etc.. While we have seen some of this come to fruition with the disgusting infringe upon women’s rights we saw this year, the grand majority of people on both parties do support rights and speak out on commonplace issues. I mean i used to strictly identify as a republican but being pro-choice and obviously pro-marriage equality has never even been a doubt in my (and most of my family’s) mind. The ‘politicians’ are killing us. The two party system is DEAD and the sooner we buck up and go through a period of discomfort to dismantle it, the better off we’ll be

At this point I don't know anymore. It's just so overwhelming and tiring. I nearly don't have any energy to invest my time in reading the news just to see another big billionaire influencer supporting the GOP, a party that literally lowkey supports an insurrection of the Congress just so they can stay in power. With everything that happened how can you pride yourself being a cool, down to Earth billionaire dude owning Twitter casually saying vote Republican. It says everything about him. It's not suprising but it's incredibly tiring because he knows he has so many followers blindly following his directions. It's just so tiring to see that the Republicans have so many people, so many incredibly influential people behind them. And it's such a tight net of connections that make this fight against it for a world where people can live freely in a safe nature environment go impossible. A high member of Russian military group Wagner literally publicly stated the last days that the Russian government influences the midterms again this time. They literally give zero ****s to hide anything. Whether it's foreign interests or inside political powers that try to push their interests with everything that the Reps stand for. The signals should be crystal clear for people since everything that happened the last years. Dems are heavily problematic as well in their own right but at least they didn't drove the entire trust in governental figures against the wall in their presidency with Obama. Since Trump everything changed, with him as the leader of the western world the power dynamics on the global political carpet really fell into a loophole filled with people who are misogynistic, hateful and untruthful to be pushed into majorly powerful positions that just poisened politics. With Trump becoming President it paved the way for Bolsonaro, Hungary's Orban who literally installed a singular party democracy at this point, Brexit became popular, Boris Johnson with all the following cascades leading up to another neoliberal politician without any knowledge about finances called Truss to crash UK's economy. Bolsonaro who brought the Amazonas rainforest to its brink of extinction. Trump isn't the blamer for everthing that happened but such a figure being the leader of the biggest western democracy on this planet without a doubt changes the way how people treat each other and what they expect their leaders to bring to the table. It's so dangerous. Look what the GOP has become the since Trump, the warning signals didn't change the party to the better. With everything that happenend we now have an even more extreme GOP. We literally speak about civil war in the US. This was not a topic before 2016. The western economies cannot prevail with the United States crumbling from the inside, it would be catastrophic to know that their biggest ally is being weakened and unable to lead with consensus and rational diplomacy than just by populist rhetoric and above all ecologically dreadful politics. This is not just about the US but also about Europe, the EU, and all their allies who are being threatened by powers like Russia, China, Iran and everyone who sees their time to rise and defeat the "evil" west with their "immoral values". Please please vote blue. It's more important than anything right now.

You said a lot there and you're right imo. Poison is the key word. Trump has basically poisoned the US with the idea that the other side are evil, as opposed to just being people that you disagree with.
