Ukraine plans total evacuation of Kyiv

After weeks of sustained attacks on Ukraine's critical infrastucture, Ukraine is now bracing for total blackouts during Winter. According to NYT, Kyiv authorities are considering evacuating the entire population of Kyiv, because there'll be no water, sewage working. That's 3 million people:
 

As Iran was supplying the kamikaze drones and missiles, Europe and the U.S did nothing to stop it. When will any red lines be drawn... If Hitler was living today, the world would've been content with slapping him with a few sanctions and leaving it at that.

An evacuation of a city of 3M people feels unthinkable and apocalyptic. In US context, the closest exemple would be an evacuation of the majority of Los Angeles.

Kyiv is the 7h biggest city in Europe, surpassed only by Instanbul, Moscow, London, Sankt Petersburg, Berlin and Madrid. Bigger than Paris and Rome.

That's crazy. And also if you feel this passionately about other countries helping Ukraine, I'm pretty sure you could fly over there and fight with them. I don't think they would stop you.

No I was not asking people to fly over there and throw themselves in harm's way without any training to prove their compassion towards Ukraine, and no one needs to do that to prove anything to you.

I was simply saying that the West should've provided Ukraine with air defenses a long time ago and that the negotiations with Iran over the summer should've included the non-supply of drones as a condition to reach any deal for sanction relief. My presence in Ukraine is not going to stop bombs from raining down their critical infrastructure.
