When I was little all we had were cassettes and I remember hating having to fast forward or backwards to hear my favorite song I’m in the mood for and thinking when cds come out that they will outlast cassettes. It’s the worst way to enjoy music yet still don’t know why it sells.

honestly it's such a weird comeback but i think it's the nostalgia factor

they better at being a decoration than a music player imo

Yeah I have a friend who is a musician and he says since vinyls are expensive, cassettes are more budget friendly way of experiencing nostalgia

that's my reason for collecting CDs: vinyls are expensive and good record player can be pricey but if i have the money, i will buy a picture disc for decorative purposes 

plus i get more use out of a CD, i import them to my PC and have my favourite songs on my phone

I can’t say I want one tbh. I’m a collector absolutely and I adore her, but I usually by in twos: one to have, one to use. I have nothing to play a cassette on. Do they even still make cassette players? I could get one for display someday—they’ll float around—but I’ll have an impressive Midnights collection here soon

I have boxes full of cassettes from long ago but nothing to play them on.  I don't want to anyway.  If I wanted to play one I would buy the CD.
