waterfall 797 Posted November 3, 2022 Share Posted November 3, 2022 idk i just randomly thought of it but here are the similarities: - both hyped af after a long break - a song that’s kinda panned but it’s cute ig - the debut radio push lol - massive push on yt with all those video versions - both artists are from the same label (def jams) - similar streaming stats (yummy did eventually get to 700 mil streams on both yt and spotify eventually) - both will end up peaking at number 2 at billboard hot 100 anyways i just noticed those but idk 😭 i feel like a lot of people saying rihanna over and **** on twitter… but i mean justin was able to jump back and have the biggest hit in his career, stay, after all the yummy fiasco so i feel like it’s too early to tell and also the song is a soundtrack song. ngl a song like diamonds or something more anthemic would fit the black panther soundtrack tho but i get its a tribute song. im hoping that R9 lead is more of dance-ish cuz i legit love all riri singles except her ballads besides hate that i love you ig.
