They start counting the votes from the South and Southeast regions where the majority of people are Bolsonaro supporters so this is why he’s ahead of Lula right now but as soon as they start counting North and Northeast, Lula is predicted to surpass him

actually, north is quite bolsonarist. the good thing is that its the least populated region

Analysts had said he’d take the lead at 84% so this is earlier than expected

Any Brazilians here who can explain if there are any limitations with such close results?

Is there a recount process etc? Will it be fought in court?

I’m already anxious for Bolsonaro’s next statement. He usually goes live on his socials, pathetic I know, and I think he’s gonna speak tonight

No! This is the second round already. The first round takes place with all the candidates and you need at least 50% to win otherwise there’s a second round with the two most voted candidates and whoever gets more votes wins

bolsonaro will most definetely ask for a recount. hes been accusing fraud on the electoral system for more than a year but with no proof of it. he knows theres no proof and its a false affirmation, but what matters is that with this he can incite his supporters to do a coup or not accept the result (just like trump did). On the first turn he demanded the army to do an investigation to verify if the electoral system has frauds and they did. They most probably found nothing wrong, cuz bolsonaro  delayed the results to be posted

HEARTSTOP

Even if Lula wins, I'd be so scared of living in a country where 60 million people vote for an inhumane beast like Bolsonaro.

Força irmãos!
