Should Gaga retire from music?

Does anyone else feel this way, or have I just sort of created an unrealistic image of Gaga’s artistry? I can’t help but rewatch AHS Hotel, ASIB and HOG again and again and wonder how more successful she would be if she just focused on acting?

Lol, no way. Maybe you like her acting more on a personal level, but even though her acting is great (I love it), it is definitely not on the level of actresses like Viola Davis etc., whereas she is one of the best 'mainstream' musicians of the last 2-3 decades. I mean, don't do her dirty like that...

People being invested doesn't equal higher quality. To give an extreme comparison: McDonald's sells more than a quality restaurant, doesn't mean McDonald's offers better food.

It wasn’t relevant because there was no promotion. People only new ROM and Gaga was focused on other things (BLM, US Elections and HOG). I know people will say that there was a pandemic going on but Dua, Miley and Kylie were promoting their projects online.

The OG Chromatica Ball dates might have been short at first for her to prepare for HOG, but since they rescheduled it, they added more dates (this is just what I think, it’s not a fact)

Gaga is still passionate about music, you can tell by her performing at the CB, but she enjoys acting more. And I’ll still support her no mater what, I’m a Superfan. So, I don’t think she will retire from music, but I guess she won’t be making new original music anytime soon.

i'm not interested in actors the same way i am in musicians, i only actively seek out a handful of actor's new work whilst i follow tonnes of musicians and i think asking a music based forum will feel the same way

if gaga gave up music just to focus on acting, i won't be actively following her anymore because i fell in love with her music initially and it's what i want more of. i love her acting but the music is why i'm truly a stan

I feel like she still has a lot more left to give with music and so much more potential .. would just be nice for her to truly commit to an era like before.. 😔 chromatica she basically abandoned it after teasing us with this  magical world/planet leaving us hungry

Exactly. I won’t say names but some female artists keep making music even if they don’t sell as much as they did back in the day. So GaGa will keep making music no matter what.

How is that the tea when it’s literally the same for music? You can pre-order an album even without listening and it counts as a sale. It’s literally the same thing

And you can choose not to buy a second ticket or recommend a movie to your friends and family. Movie business is literally dependant on multiple-time watchers and strong word of mouth.
