Ok now I’ve come to GGD to ask this question…

The GP, fans and I’ve also asked other cult sites and they’re all complaining about how basic “Lift Me up” is and the video didn’t do the song any justice…

Should Rihanna release an apology with a dance song to make up for this mess?

I remember a member here used to say that whenever she releases something and it doesn't do as expected on the charts, she'll release a new wah wah wah wah wah wah bop to make it up :rip:

Nah. The song is an OST song… To honor Chadwick… y’all can stop complaining and wait for the lead single to drop from her album :-)

REALITY

I just don't get what people were expecting. Like, a song from a movie dealing with the loss of its lead actor? Of course it was going to be a slow ballad :selena: It wasn't going to be Work 2.0 :selena:

I feel like people are excusing it because it's a ballad. But ballads don't have to be boring. Lift Me Up is boring.

Chadwick Boseman led a really extraordinary life, and a song doesn't have to sound like a dirge to properly honor someone who's passed away.
