The problem is that Apple has no "mid-range" or "low-range" prices. Their marketing seems to implay that they're a company for everbody, and that everybody can afford an iPhone, but that's not the truth.

Their "low-end" tier starts at 900 bucks. If you have that kind of disposable income already, you are not gonna buy the "cheap" one, you're gonna buy the one with all the bells and whistles for 1300 bucks.

The reason why their low-tier and mid-tier iPhones aren't selling is because they are way too expensive and too close to the top flagship model. People are literally waiting like hyenas for the iPhone 12 price to finally lower instead.

Humm, maybe SE is their actual mid tier phone :giggle:

But they really mess up with treatment to their regular sized phone by not giving it the latest chip :diane:

Mr Ricky

It's the stupid people buying the Pro after they had the basic one. Just stop buying because it's "pro"

And the new SE is still 600 bucks here tho and for the first time ever, they increased the in-house prices AFTER launch. :emma:

Like... the answer to their problem is very obvious: make mid tier and low tier more affordable, retain 90% of the design of the flagship model. It's literally worked wonders on the XR, which still has insane longevity in sales.
