Omg then don’t buy it and let her flop but STFU already :saladga:

They acts like she was laughing because she’s the only one to press whatever amount of vinyls she wants.

The reason why Taylor is able able to have this many is because companies know Taylor will sale… I’m sorry but if you’re an indie band, companies are not going to risk pressing Vinyls that are just going to stay on the shelf…

For example, they’re not going too book a Stadium Tour for Demi Lovato and a theater stadium for Taylor Swift… :ladyhaha:

I mean.. she must've planned this long ago. Adele handled 30 like a year early to be able to press the amount of vinyls she was supposed to sell and they all had to press ABBA, Coldplay and Ed Sheeran too. Can't blame their respective teams for doing their job.

And the fans love these type of collections artists do, they don't HAVE TO buy all of them.

It was Adele first. Now it’s Taylor. Next it’ll be whoever is doing a big vinyl week.

I will never understand people’s willingness to criticize everything and everyone but the cause of the problems. Taylor is the biggest artist in the world right now, when she wants a vinyl pressed, they’ll press it. She’s not asking them to not press anyone else’s, not holding a gun to their heads saying “no one but me”. All she asked was for her album to be pressed.

The multiple covers have little to do with it. Adele had one version only and the same thing happened. This same thing would have happened with Midnights even only having one version because the demand is so large.

This is not Adele’s fault, this is not Taylor’s fault, this is not any artist’s fault. This is the industry’s fault for the decades and decades of their treatment of and attitude toward independent musicians.

Attacking individual artists is not going to help you.

You mean the pressers are prioritising the vinyls people actually want… shock!

I’m sure his fan/s(?) can wait a couple of weeks for a vinyl.

Adele releases once in 5 years. Taylor has a new album/re-recording on vinyl every year.

The tough thing is you’ll walk into any target or Walmart and see 20 copies of the same Adele record, 10 of another artist, 15 of  yet another artist, etc. The artists may not control how much are produced but regardless of how popular the artist is, records aren’t selling in mass numbers the way they’re being produced. It’s a waste most of the time, and since labels don’t produce their own vinyls, the production lines get completely jammed. Garth Brooks also has this issue, tons of vinyls on shelves just rotting away bc they did way too many

That quadruple vinyle clock..... like, you couldn't put a clock on a single vinyle? What a cheap trick, they're really taking fans as money machines. I know artists aren't philanthropists and deserve payment for their work, but this is taking things quite far.

No hate towards Taylor, she's doing what she needs to be doing, but this type of tactic is a little gross. And I think the same with paid meet & greets, like, who the hell do you think you are for making people pay to be in your presence for 2 minutes.... Once again, this rant is more against the music industry at large than the artists themselves.

It’s pretty common, some fans have more money than sense.

How many different colour Chromatica vinyls and cassettes were there, Love For Sale covers…? :enigma: I personally don’t mind this tactic, I just order what cover/colour I think best suits the album or what artwork I want to display.

Sure, I'm not saying this is anything new. But while I can understand the appeal of different editions for collectors (being one myself), you still can choose how many you're willing to get. Here, if you want this ****ing clock, it's 4 vinyles or nothing. This is just gross, idk.

I don’t think it’s that deep tbh, if you bought your own floating wall clock and four vinyls to put behind it, you’d probably save £15 or so if you bought a really cheap floating clock.  From a material perspective, it’s pretty much what it would cost to do yourself.

If fans want the aesthetic, they could always print the back covers and just buy a clock… but that defeats the purpose of it being a vinyl collection and clock haha
