She’s been a big part of American pop culture for over 15 years. The whole country is her demographic, even if they don’t want to admit it.

Yeah right? I don't want to be shady and I respect her success but I literally don't know a single person who listens to her music nor I see any articles about her in the media in my country at all, and if there are some news about her some people are asking who she is in the comments (I live in a small European country). Ik she's huge in the US tho so I would probably think different if I lived there

She’s been in the industry for 16 years, is it really that unbelievable that in that time she’s amassed a multi generational fanbase? I mean, this is anecdotal, but my mother is a massive stan and my grandmothers really likes her too. Both bought the CD + my mom is streaming.

So I gave the album a listen, and I have to say, it's definitely the first time I've ever enjoyed her music. It's a good album I guess. But the way people are obsessing over Taylor like she's God's gift to music... I don't have to get it I suppose, people can listen to whatever they want, and I'm not gonna be a hater and say Midnights is terrible, because it's not. I just don't see why everytime Taylor releases an album it's the music event of the year. But I have to respect her impact, which is undeniable.
