That's my thing with Taylor, I have tried with each album to get into her music and it's just not for me. The songs could be recorded by any other artists (see: white girl with an average voice that can carry a tune)

Gaga or Lana or Beyonce, among others, their songs are original and can only be sung by them. There's a vibe, there's artistry, there's authenticity. Taylor's music just feels....basic.

Respect your opinion but another artist might not be able to tell the stories she tells through her lyricism, I think that's what people are drawn to is the world she creates. Like I couldn't see Megan Trainor or some person writing at this level. It's not all about how the song sounds and the voice, some of the best songwriters have not been the best singers.

this is wildly inaccurate.

whether you like her or not, Madonna's versatility (as a musician and performer) is undeniable and set the precedent for EVERY major female pop artist that came after her. There is a reason why Madonna has built a career that has lasted for over 4 decades and started that from essentially nothing (no industry connections, no money, no push from her parents). Just because someone isn't supremely vocally gifted doesn't mean they lack talent.
