Initially I thought Call On Me would have grabbed my attention the most and while that is the most euphoric dance banger everrr, there is something about Pineapple Slice that keeps me coming back. Some of the things I absolutely adore about the song: - firstly the lyrics are the epitome of HORNY like who else can sing about eating pineapples to make your p*ssy juice and c*m taste better other than Tove Lo. They flow so smoothly and are so well structured and considered, it’s so satisfying and catchy to hear and sing along to -her breathy, sultry vocals are so smooth like butter -the minimalism of the production let’s her vocals shine through while still hitting hard, lush and full. The way the song builds to the last chorus and the way those final synths send the song on a soaring note gives me chills - the outro is so pulsing and gives an amazing conclusion - while the song is the only one on Dirt Femme that’s less than 3 minutes long, it doesn’t feel short. It says what it needs to say very precisely and delivers a very satisfying punch. - Last but not least, perhaps my favourite part of the song are the GODLY AD LIBS in the chorus (the echoes after “tonight” and “thighs”). They sound so sweet and sultry and make the song very replayable. The song sounds incredible even when slowed down and reverbed. Helped me catch little details in the production I wouldn’t have heard otherwise. Definitely worth a listen to as well: While you’re at it, please stream the album of the year and pop masterpiece, Dirt Femme. And thank you Tove Lo and SG Lewis for birthing one of the best eargasms of a song I’ve ever heard in my life.
