I also wonder if when we die we end up going there but that's another story, i mean since we were made out of stardust we could very well be recycled and end up being something else in another dimension. I have a feeling there are infinite amount of galaxies and u can travel thru the black hole but as humans u wont be able to because for the universe you are a molecule and ull end up recycled and used as a tool for xyz; I guess u gotta think why a black hole? Everything has a purpose, and a lot of times things look similar, i think the universe runs out of ideas, just look at the inside of a pomegranate that looks like blood vessels. I mean you could seriously have some kind of similarities with assholes. What does an asshole do? It filters out everything that happened in the body and brings it out, so I believe the balck hole is the same it filters out matter stop, i'm 2 high for this

(genuine) Most topically, because it's almost the exact plot of Event Horizon except it's not a giant spaceship. But like... Where did it go? Why is it back? It's not really recycling. The current understanding is they just fall to join the massively crushing gravity in the middle of a black hole as part of the singularity. Black "hole" is a misnomer, tbh. They're not really holes or portals, just objects so extremely massive they break physics a bit. There's actually hypotheses that they can destroy the very information matter and energy uses to exist. Think of it like wiping the code off a hard drive. So not only do they not recycle, they probably actively destroy. That information, even if it isn't destroyed, would never be retrievable anyway and would eventually be lost as the black hole evaporates due to Hawking radiation. Trillions of years from now, the universe will be in a heat death state. Black holes will have evaporated away, the cores of red and white dwarves will have transformed into huge balls of iron through quantum tunneling, and photons will be so spread out that they'll never meet another one of their kind again. The universe will be cold, dark, and dead and if protons decay like some scientists think they might, even those balls of iron won't last forever. They'll dissolve into a foam of quarks and other elementary particles and fuzz. But there might be a happy ending! Many scientists think the universe will never reach true entropy and that the entropic state in the very mesh of reality has a lot of potential energy right now, despite it being relatively calm in our little slice of space. It's thought that a fall in entropy, which is totally random and could happen anywhere at any time (and may have happened already somewhere else in the universe but the "death bubble" would never reach us 'cause the universe is expanding too fast) could trigger another big bang and birth a new universe. Matter and energy might be destroyed but reality itself might have its own reset button which is pretty cool to think about. Our universe might exist within the shell of another universe that's been dead for trillions and trillions of years. The same with that one and the one before it. God I love science Whimsical bitch

Haven't read up on it yet but if I had to make an assumption I'd say the matter never truly passed the event horizon proper, it just orbited very close for years, then reached escape velocity by feeding the spinning black hole some of its matter in exchange for momentum (which is similar to what we do when we slingshot spacecraft around planets). It never really went anywhere Whimsical bitch
