RAMROD 109,743
I feel like majority of those $$ are to fund BTWF, she probably do the usual cos that might make her feel better about getting paid by private gig or sponsorships these days anyway, and perhaps small amount to Haus Labs. IDK, I feel like we all tend to overestimate how much money these celebrities have (as in cashflow to pay all their people like agents, lawyers, stylists etc & their lifestyle, and not like, total value of home/properties if they were to sell them all off). I remember Beyonce used her $50M Pepsi deal for her first visual album (I remember reading it was also kind of like an artist patronage. Here was the quote from that: "Pepsi's $50 million patronage of Beyoncé is expected to provide the singer and clothing designer—who earns approximately $40 million a year—with the ability to pursue creative endeavors free from the constraints of the market." After reading that new Rolling Stone article about the current touring industry, and how inflation helping kill it, and in turn killing the music industry in general, and Santigold saying how she did festivals and private gigs to help supplement touring costs, I think even at Gaga's huge level, these gigs where she gets like, 1M for performing at a wedding probably helps a lot with all her endeavors. Like, if even in 2012, in pre-streaming times, the music industry was a bit more plentiful than now and Beyonce was already really successful, and married to Jay, who was also incredibly wealthy, and she needed a corporation like Pepsi and their $50M to do all those beautiful, well-made videos, then I definitely think videos/touring, and all that fun creative stuff probably cost a pretty penny. Anyway, all this is to say, either Gaga probably needs to score a insane deal like Beyonce did, or hopefully her make-up endeavor will take off, and maybe we will see some MVs in next album era. Alfonso 1,551
can someone remind me what's the problem of her doing this gigs? She's literally an international A-List Singer, this is her job, her career; she makes money by singing.. It's obvious that she has other incomes, but why are you expecting her or any other singer to either block these events or to do them for free? I feel like sometimes people forget artists live from their work and what they do should be rewarded because it's a business, doesn't matter if you're an actor, a painter or a singer.. they're like us. There's no need to hate, the truth is I would love to have her play a private gig for a party of mine (I'm sure most would agree if it wasn't for everyone that's a fan, it's literally a dream), so... stop throwing drama around I personally think it's impressive how she managed to squeeze it multiple times between very demanding projects (Tours, Movies..) Please note that I'm not saying that it's worth taking the time off if she wasn't prepared or something because of her schedule, but she has a team and they "know" what she can or cannot do in order of timings, so what should we be saying. I'm also not giving props to the chromatica era fiasco, because we were robbed and they should know better, but it already happened and we can't do anything.
