No. I was going to edit it.

It was a server mistake. 2 tries to get food to a table and it's still not right, c'mon somethings not right.

You see the prices on the menu? It's not cheap.

I recently went out to eat before seeing Lil Nas X.

My sister and I got our food just fine but the server brought my grandma the wrong sandwich. We sent it back.

Then she brought food meant for another table, we laughed it off and sent it to the right one.

Then she brought the right sandwich but it had the dressing stuff on it that my grandma asked to be left off. It was sent back too.

Finally, we get the right sandwich. The server apologized, we told her no worries.

We enjoyed our meals, I tipped 30% on a nearly $60 tab, and we moved on with our day.

Mistakes happen. You never know when it's someone's first day or they've got their mind somewhere else because of something personal. You should never allow yourself to be one more negative part of their day to think about when they get home. It's a hard enough job as it is without having rude customers who either raise hell or don't tip because of little mistakes.

It's all just time and time is money. I sometimes have to special order. I remember 1 time I ordered no cheese at a Mexican restaurant with a large group of co-workers. They added the tip to the bill, not even an option. Everyone got food. Mine was slathered full of cheese. I sent it back and they brought out another dish without cheese. But it took 20 minutes for the second dish to be served.

Everyone was completely done eating by the time I got my food. Then I was pressured to eat fast so we could all get back to work. I hated it. It was a very bad experience for me. It delayed the entire team from getting to work. The waitress got her 20 percent tip that I had to pay, in addition to full price for the food.

I never went back there.

I don't throw loud tantrums.

Tell me that you never work in F&B and retail without saying you never work at F& B and retail :diane:

Very briefly at a drive-in as a teen. No-one tipped. I quit. Pathetic pay rate.

I've worked jobs where bonuses are paid for exceptional work, not everyone gets a bonus.

If your server was horrible and rude I would understand not tipping, but bringing out the wrong order is a simple mistake. They have a stressful job and have several tables to keep track of.
