because of hate train iggy bandwagon, because she is a white girl that grew up in Australia that making hiphop music (easy target for hate train and culture vulture allegation)

the reason why people gave Eminem a pass because 1.) he is a straight white male 2.) he is from Detroit 3.) he grew up "in the hood"

Didn’t she recently decide to make a new album with the rapper that shot Megan?

Yes, she went to the supporting other women in rap speech to collab' with Megan shooter. 😆

At some point we'll realize the gay pandering wasn't sincere either.

No. She said a lot of stupid **** when she was blowing up that turned people off from her. That plus the god awful courage the cowardly dog “rap” she did cemented her as a joke until she disappeared from the public’s mind.

Because in late 2014 / 2015 was really the explosion of young people finally paying attention to cultural appropriation and Iggy was one of the biggest examples at the time. Clearly rapping in a put-on accent that wasn't how she naturally spoke, it could be seen as offensive.

This video went viral on Tumblr and I remember on my college campus it became a huge talking point, especially following the shooting of Mike Brown.

Also, people realized she just wasn't very talented. The best thing about her hits was the hooks, especially the Fancy hook by Charli XCX.  I fully believe without that hook Iggy would have never had a mainstream hit.

I was a stan following Fancy and her careers has been really unfortunate

After the success of Fancy she rereleased her album and that did ok. Then she announced her second album and had a lead single for it that iirc she had to leak on Soundcloud because the label wouldn't let her release it. She released Team which was super good and quite popular, but iirc the label didn't let her release the album at all and that project was fully scrapped. She then did an EP which was quite good but not impactful outside of Kream. Sandwiched between a couple random singles, she finally released a second album but imo it sucked complete ass which was a huge letdown considering I had been waiting for that for years. She left her label, dropped a final album (which is also really bad from what I've heard) and has said she was done making music.

Really unfortunate cause her pre-fame work was great and her MVs were amazing.

So basically most of the fault falls on her label. She couldn't drop a project for years after Fancy and couldn't strike while the iron was hot. She was then forgotten and her following work felt like throwing **** at the wall and seeing what stuck.
