How does Gaga feel about her demos/unreleased songs leaking?

I always think about how she performed Brooklyn Nights live and was like “this is the type of show where the people in the pit know all the songs, even the b sides”  I think she understands it happens and if she likes the song she’s probably ok with fans listening to them too. I doubt she looses sleep when things like the Babylon demo leak, unless it’s for something that hasn’t been released yet (so like when FW and ROM demos were leaking before the songs had been released)

I thought that too. I had a feeling she probably doesn’t really care about certain things leak like old demos. But maybe things leaking before the album she would be mad maybe

I remember everyone going crazy when Bad Romance leaked and we were all listening to it. She was like “my ears are bleeding from listening to that unfinished demo, wait for the official thing”. I think she understands this is part of it but pretty sure security has been tight after that. She recorded Born This Way with no wi fi on so nothing would leak or get hacked.

I don't think she gets as worked up about that kind of thing nowadays. Remember in the 5F2 doc where she was at the doctor and Joanne was leaking online and after a short vent she calmed down and said 'I don't even care right now. Let them leak my album all over the internet' or something like that. It isn't good for her health to stress, she knows that so I think she's actively trying to stress less now.

I know! but to be fair she recorded Born This Way on her tour bus so the producers were mostly close to her. For Chromatica she said the songs were passed around between so many of them and that's how they made several versions. They just had to use the internet, especially Sour Candy I guess.

It’s really song dependent.

If it’s a song she wants to and plans to release in the future, it’s a big no no.  If it’s a song so unfinished that she doesn’t like her vocals, also a no.  The whole reason The Greatest Thing with Cher didn’t get released is because Gaga didn’t like her vocals on the song.

If it’s a song she likes but doesn’t look like it’ll ever get an official release, I think she’s cool with it.  See Brooklyn Nights for example.  If it’s a song she loves and it looks like it’s going to be locked in a vault, I’m sure she’s happy with us getting to hear it.
