The Grammys aren't just a popularity contest it's also quality. Small artists have been known to win over big ones I remember when some smaller band beat Gaga and Black eyed peas on some album category, or when Esperanza Spalding that half of people never heard of best Justin Bieber for best new artist Does the record suck? If the quality is good why not give it a shot despite poor commercial impact? Yeah her odds may be very low but what's she got to loose in trying?
