That's exactly why its such a hit, it's perfect "vibe music" and fits into any playlist (even tho i agree its generic, still boppable tho)

Honestly, yes. The song was released on the first months of the pandemic but slowly gained traction on it's own.

Glass Animals is a great band and they've been around for a while now, they sure deserve the success. If you're into indie pop/rock with synths and great hooks, you should check them out. These are some of my favorites:

So happy for them! Loved heat waves since I heard it during COVID and they were phenomenal a few months ago when I saw them in concert (I was kinda shook because they easily sold out the arena)

Blinding Lights still sounds fresh. Good for the Heat Waves song. It plays on the radio here and there and I kinda skip it since it’s over played IMO. 
 

The titles are pretty cohesive. The blinding lights of the sun, the sun causing heat waves.

To think how INCREDIBLE their music was in the beginning and to see them receive recognition with this song is just so... sad to me, not gonna lie. No hate, but their beginning was amazing.
