Justin Bieber and manager Scooter Braun are jumping on the catalog bandwagon. They’re trying to get a piece of the billion dollar pie in music publishing.  
Most Bieber hits have six to twelve co-writers. If they weren’t bought out in perpetuity at the start, then Bieber’s piece might be 50%. Take “Peaches,” a dozen credited collaborators. Some of these songs would require a conference room for a meeting of the writers, or a Zoom call that would fall off the screen. I think so and assuming they won't make any further money from those songs (unless they separate writing/vocal/production credits). I was just thinking about when Redone did this right before seeing this post and wondering if he makes nothing at all from his and Gaga's songs now

Sounds to me like Bieber might be thinking about an early retirement. Maybe his health is worse than we think.

If he does retire early, good for him, he deserves it. 200m in value is awesome and a major achievement.
