I’m not big on horror so I haven’t seen many, but probably The Wailer (La Llorona). I watched it with some cousins when I was a kid during a trip to see family in Mexico. The movie is filmed in English but we had the Spanish dub lol. There’s one scene in particular that always stayed with me, where one of the girls wakes up locked in the restroom. The shower turns on and the tub begins filling up. Then the shower curtains pull back to reveal La Llorona and she approaches the girl crying. Then her fingers grow into huge nails and she starts slashing at the girl and kills her. Ugghhh, it was so scary for me as a young kid. Probably wouldn’t bother me now, id probably even find it tacky or funny, but it scared me for so much and for months I had to sleep with all my lights on and someone else in the room.

Hard to tell, because I never find them scary when rewatching. My first horror movie ever was The Grudge, and it was awful, because there was an attic entrance in front of my flat :laughga: I remember Grave Encounters messing with my head a lot, as I couldn't sleep for a week (I was home alone) and thought I saw things.

Funnily, after all these years, I still have chills when I see the Groke, my childhood nightmare , so I think Moomins win!

I am a massive horror fan since I was 7, but I really didn't find any of the nearly 600 horror movies I've watched really scary, mostly they give me a strong unsettling feeling.

In that case Audition, Hereditary and Sinister come to mind. Also the original Ring and Grudge are scarier than the remakes

Edit: Possession (1981) too

The Descent and it's not even close... the paranormal/conjuring movies don't hold a candle to that one Ican't :enigma:

One of the few classics of this century so far.

as a kid: Paranormal Activity, Saw, The Grudge, The Ring, Final Destination 6

as an adult: Hereditary, A Siberian Film (don't watch), It's Such A Beautiful Day (I definitely recommend this one to anyone who wants to be absolutely disturbed. A horror masterpiece, honestly)

Yes it's the 4th.

Personally I find Final Destination to be a pretty useless and repetitive saga (except for 1 and 5 which are the most original) made only for quick cash, but I know a lot of people that were traumatized the way you were by some of their scenarios

it's definitely repetitive, and i don't find the whole fate story very interesting. i think it's scary because some of the deaths seem like deaths you'd find on 1000 ways to die, and it makes you more cautious of your movements in real life :saladga: i would hate the intrusive thoughts that would follow after watching a final destination movie
