All Laptops of all brands will also have to use USB-C ports for charging starting in 2026. This is such a huge win for consumers and your right to repair. No more worrying about blowing up your Laptop with a third party charger because manufacturers would have you rather buy a new one than provide a new adapter. I personally think Apple will move to only Mag Safe charging instead of adopting USB-C for their phones. I’m pretty sure the new regulation doesn’t include wireless charging.
