Concertaholic 6,578
Joe Biden has literally be incredible. He has: -Passed the biggest infrastructure bill in decades -Forgiven millions of Americans’ student loans -Reunified the US with its western/European allies -Oh and doesn’t get on Twitter like a stark raving mad lunatic This is why Republicans win cause y’all always have to see the glass half empty. If Trump runs, which he’s going to, Biden is shown in all of the polls to be the Democrat with the highest chance of beating him. Stop giving into Republicans lies and misinformation about Biden because you are letting them win when you do!

They have to run themselves in the primary and get chosen by voters. We had a ton of choices in the 2020 primaries, and voters chose Biden. Candidates dropped out because they saw he was our best shot, and they were right. He won. That calculus hasn't changed either, he's still our best shot in 2024. But all that’s based in such close-minded, two party thinking. Why are we just picking candidates to win a race in the first place? That’s the issue. It’s the voters’ fault, we’ve all been manipulated into thinking there should be and is only two options. If everyone got together and actually tried to find a candidate that could appease as many people on both sides as possible, we’d be golden. Many (most likely enough) lawmakers would get on board to vote them in as well, for fear of revolution if nothing else. Biden should NEVER be considered the best choice in any race at his age (that goes for any candidate if his age, we need an age limit on the presidency for mentality and currency reasons) and with his discrepancies and historical lack of success in offices. They’re screwing us, them being the government, but we’re letting them British social ladies with upturned pinkies, glasses clinking // xoxoTEANUS
TEANUS 16,140
If y’all would stop lying down to the two party system as you do as shown in this thread, enough people could align together to gain traction. Enough people are tired Third parties are just spoilers in the USA, they only split the vote of the party they are most similar to. Making certain that neither the third party nor the party they are similar to wins, giving the victory to the candidate the most unlike them. A third party progressive candidate would donate the election victory to Trump loyalists, and cost the third party and democrats alot of wasted campaign money doing it. I'm not lying down for anything, I'm standing up for it, against you.

Enigma 7,182
iirc I read an article saying how American presidents almost always win a second term unless they had a huge scandal. While Biden is the most lukewarm candidate ever and this sucks, I don't think this would mean a Democrat defeat in 2024.
dit 46,738
The democratic party is so dumb and does not know what their base wants like AT ALL. Honestly though, what they could have done is have Kamala run for president and Joe run for vice president along side her. That would have given them a fighting chance even though everyone dislikes Kamala. At least she is still young enough. Joe is having cognitive issues and is just at his wits peak. Like I don't think he can do this anymore.

Especially an election cycle like the one we're entering now. I agree with you in the general sense and for state/local elections wholeheartedly. Thank you for saying this here. It is needed. The pessimism and nihilism of progressives is a large factor in why we're in the predicament we are more than our actual candidates and platform. Omg you’re so welcome, I honestly expected get read to filth but I’m so pleasantly surprised

Enough people are tired Remember when Trump took Michigan (and the presidency) because enough progressives voted for Jill Stein instead of Clinton? This is what happens when we try to use the 3rd party option in presidential elections. We can move away from it in the coming years, but it's not going to magically work over one election cycle. Third party candidates will have had to strengthen their legitimacy over a few cycles before they have a sliver of hope to win. We can use independent and third party voting to send a message to moderate dems in the midterms and state/local elections and that'll help too. I agree with you that a 2 party system is not a good one to have, but pretending they can save us from 2024 is just not realistic. This is my Hannah Montana™️ lipgloss. StarstruckIllusion 53,563
Biden’s the best available. Bernie and Warren aren’t running Any other lefty challenge = joke Kamala, Pete + every other Dem is worse… Ofc we hate to see it but I’m not gonna advocate for change with no clear upgrade. So… sadly, this is fine. As long as we get Dark Brandon the next few years I think America will be okay and will finally get over it’s spell by Trump
