Guillaume Hamon 7,018
Nina Turner would have better chances imo, even of she would go without a big political experience.

efrs 435
Idk to everyone saying he’s the best choice… I implore you to use your imagination and realize that the Democratic Party does not have the best interest of working people (unless you’re a CEO, that includes you btw) in mind. Third party candidates shouldn’t be expected to win but by showing the political power we can have by siphoning off votes from the Dems, they can be pushed left. This is what caused the New Deal to even be a thing. The dems at that time didn’t even want to give social safety nets! It was the fruit of an adversarial third party that created enough pressure through labor strikes or threats of general strikes to force the administration to act. We can do this again but people like resigning themselves to the status quo.

They have to run themselves in the primary and get chosen by voters. We had a ton of choices in the 2020 primaries, and voters chose Biden. Candidates dropped out because they saw he was our best shot, and they were right. He won. That calculus hasn't changed either, he's still our best shot in 2024. While that's true on the surface level, let's not forget that the DNC play politics on the internal level. The party has a huge influence on who gets put in front of voters and who ultimately gets put on the ticket.

True, but it's not like we didn't have a huge selection to choose from in terms of the major identities of the party.
