FfFfFfFF 58,070
Today (14 September) the Russians continued their retreat in the area east of Izyum. Fighting is taking place for the deoccupation of Lyman - city north of the Siversky Donetsk river which was taken by the Russians in late May. At the same time, Ukrainians managed to establish a foothold east of the Oskil river (pictured in the blue circle above). Some optimistic takes conclude that Ukrainians already reached the Savatove - Kremmina highway. If true, this points to a super fast advancement from Kharkiv into Donbas, however it seems that apart from Lyman & the disputed areas around, the Ukrainians did no reach the territory implied and did not advance past Bilohorivka (the last village which was occupied by the Russians in Luhansk). In Luhansk, it was claimed that the Russians left Kremmina and Starobilsk, however both cities remain under the Russian occupation zone. At the same time, despite the Ukrainians gains in Borova, E of Izyum, the Russians are on a slow offensive in the Bakhmut-Soledar area. No significant changes seem to have happen in southern Donetsk or Zaporizhzhia, but in Kherson, the Ukrainians are said to have liberated two settlements as the Russians attempt to retake control of another one. Dennis 8,391
I don't think Lyman will fall anytime soon. It was very close to falling as part of the blitz, but apparently the LPR militia held it to the last man, and now Russia got reinforcements, which is very annoying. The frontline would've collapsed further if not for Lyman.
