The progress in Kherson is much slower compared to Kharkiv, but adding all settlements retaken since late August together, that would still be a sigificant territory. This is a timelapse of the Ukrainian counter-offensive in Kharkiv:

Is this a sign of a general faltering occupation? Really hoping this conflict is over soon

The collapse of the frontline in Kharkiv really improves Ukraine's prospect in the war. It was so much territory retaken quickly - including Izyum which was one of the bigger cities occupied. But in Kherson things are still progressing slower because Russia expected the counter-offensive here, and prepared for it. As Russia still occupies parts of Kherson, Zaporizhzhia, Donetsk and almost the entire Luhansk (and Kharkiv still), the conflict is still very unlikely to end soon unfortunately. The wheater of Ukraine is also something that needs to be taken into consideration, as continentality means that the summers are super hot, but the winters very cold and snowy. So after November it's likely no major counter-offensives will be possible.
