Sinner’s Prayer should’ve been the single

It's my favorite song on Joanne and I was so bummed she didn't play it on the tour.

I think Million Reasons is the better single, it seems to resonate a lot with Americans because of the sound and the religious lyrics. I think the 'When I bow down to pray' 'Lord show me the way' seems to go down with them very well.

As an atheist I don't really feel it.

According to Gaga I'm a ****ing rad bitch

I just don’t see how it’s initial reception would’ve been any better than PI’s. She had the obstacle that some fans were gonna be disappointed or even turned off by her new direction no matter what, but PI, John Wayne, and DIC were sonically the only options in my opinion to segue-way into the new era and lessen the culture shock for the dance gays :vegas:

I certainly think it deserved more recognition though

Should've been the opening song for JWT

Million Reasons SCREAMS smash ballad, Sinner’s Prayer would a risky choice that could pay off. I still think SP is miles and miles better than MR though.

MR as single was a great choice. But Sinner's Prayer has been my top crush on Joanne. Love at first listening. The country-tango pop vibe. The perfect instrumental arrangement and brilliant mix. The octave up second vocal chorus is hitting so hard.

That particular song opened my narrow gate to LG. Instant conversion. I'll never forget.

Late to the party but I got a diamond heart

It should have gotten more love, it’s got such a beautiful folk vibe to it. Reminds me of the old country music like Patsy Cline. A commercial single tho? Ehhh, she shoulda led with A-Yo, then John Wayne, then Million Reasons

Um YES agree

The lyrics to the verses are amazing, did you guys ever read the thread where @Punkthefunk "figured out" Sinner's Prayer? (i.e. explained how it was a metaphor for her life, family, and experiences after breaking up with Taylor) It was ICONIC!!!

Diamond Heart would have killed as the lead single. It had the rock edge that Gaga clearly wanted. But had better hooks, lyrics and was way more radio friendly than Perfect Illusion.

Gonna have to disagree with on SP. It's a hard pass for me. And I love Joanne.
