To me, Charles is a deeply flawed man lacking in morality, in that he willfully and deliberately married an innocent woman that he did not ever love and subsequently divorced, all while continuing to consort with another woman he more truly and sincerely loved. This is about the worst emotional cruelty a human being can do to another, and is unredeemable. He is unfit to rule, and I can never respect him.
