I'm gonna be like "oh, sure Hitler was bad, but let's give him some respect he just died" and justify it like this :poot:

Honestly the way he died, it's so sad not in the way you think but how pathetic of a creature he was and end up like this just encapsulate how disgusting and chaotic he was, it's sad, i wouldn't even mock it tbh it's like wow, imagine being you, so sad and depressing and dark. I don't see the humor in it at all i cant find humor in death tbh

I mean we know this, it's such a huge historical event we will live because she might be one of the most iconic and impactful royal in our generation and maybe even the next generations to come but still, will her death cause more inflation, will it change the economy for me in France, will it do anything economically of the sort in other countries like Brazil, Japan... I don't think so? That's why it sounds a bit dramatic

We don't know what will happen now for sure one way or another, but it certainly could. The UK is in a state of flux right now as is and it's not clear at the moment how moving from Elizabeth to Charles is going to look for them on the world stage.

Regardless of how one feels about the monarchy (I personally don't support it), it must be understood that it's very, very, very tightly tied into how the economy of the UK works. The royals themselves are essentially powerless, but the institution itself is what the entire nation revolves around economically. If Charles gets to the throne and the other commonwealth nations decide they want out, or the general public loses interest, then there is a very real chance that the money the UK makes off of the monarchy will slow dramatically in the wake of controversy and such.

We saw the UK struggle some when Elizabeth's father died because the country was already in a precarious position after the war. We're coming off a pandemic now at times when inflation is skyrocketing across Europe. The world's finances are in the shitter right now regardless and Elizabeth's death very well could have far reaching impacts that extend beyond this moment.

We may not see it all right now, but in the future we could see a drastic shift in what the UK looks like economically which would effect us.

It could also be 100% fine. Time will tell.

Nurses in hospital do that sometimes, when they ask family members to come quickly because the patient is unwell. That way, the news isn't shared on the phone, but rather when they arrive, making it seem like the patient passed after the call. Just a way to soften the blow. You're probably right, considering all the Officials' messages, the TV presenters, etc.

I think that's worse, because then you feel guilty that you didn't arrive on time even if you couldn't have done it differently. Of course it's better to say it directly face-to-face but the lie makes you feel bad about it for nothing.

I once dreamt that it happened but most of the dream took place a few months after the fact when I'd mostly accepted it.

Crazy thing is I woke up feeling almost annoyed that she was still alive because I went through all that pain and acceptance for nothing  :toofunny:

Do you feel him sir?
