Will the haters say something about the kisses, too? :partysick:

I really don't understand the hate. The most offensive thing this guy has ever done is wear those ugly romper looking things :rip:

Otherwise he's an absolutely delightful human being who doesn't let norms confine his sense of expression while he delivers cute visuals and promotion for his amazing music. There's literally nothing to dislike :rip:

You're stinky

Hate to break it to you but the world has been pretty f*cking cruel to gay people a lot longer than it has been kind. This is a film set in the 50s and unfortunately that "gay tragedy" you don't like is our history.

I'm not a fan of this modern revisionist approach we keep seeing in tv and movies where we pretend queer people weren't totally ostracized most of the time 20+ years ago.

Ah the film he put down other gay creators films for because this one is going to be more tender!  Can’t wait for it to flop too :vegas:

We? Talk about yourself. I am a gay man who enjoys seeing men breaking boundaries and stereotypes, thanks

True, we have never seen such tepid mediocrity in an ugly dress before.  Harry is really out here doing it for the mid men!

It's not exactly revisionist approach when almost every film and show centered around LGBTQ is either about being a total gay virgin or being ostracized and discriminated. (Ready to be proven wrong tho cause my country has certainly paid for revisioning history:neyde:)

Do we really want to see the reality we experience be pasted on screen everytime? It's depressing af and not a great incentive for sad fcks like me to watch :bon:  I get that this was a period piece but I just want more variety. It's like everytime I see an LGBTQ plot it's always being "gay" is a "but" and not an "and". And also why I love shows like Heartstopper and Our Flag Means Death because it's not always about being gay, they just are. Heck, I'm even gonna give Single All The Way their flowers even though it was trashy, it didn't revolve around him being gay, it revolved around him being an awkward adult gay man :billie:

tldr: Movies like this are very much needed to bring more awareness of our struggles in the past up to the present, but it's very depressing to watch as a sad gay man like me.
