I currently have Covid, presumably one of these subvariants, so I'm not sure if I'll have to wait a bit before I can get the vaccine. I'll ask my primary care physician when I go in for an appointment mid-September.

From what I know, asymptomatic COVID-19 case can get vaccinated as soon as their isolation ends. You don't need a negative viral test before vaccination, however, you received monoclonal antibodies or convalescent plasma, you will need to wait 90 days before getting the vaccine.

But do ask your physician to be sure

Does anyone know if this will be available for all who want it? Or will this be based off of at-risk groups going first?

I didn't receive anything, but I'm not exactly asymptomatic. I had a sore throat, fatigue, and congestion. Anyway, I see my doctor for something else mid-September, so I'll ask her then.

Thanks for your response!

Currently people 50 and older can get a booster if it’s been 6 months since their last. However since those under 50 haven’t had a shot in almost a year I believe they said everyone will qualify for this one.

I wonder how long between your last booster and this one needs to pass? I got my fourth shot in July.
