I consider myself a strong person too but I honestly don't know if I could have do it for 13 years without giving up. The fact that she is telling it on her own terms, and not through a paid interview, is so beautiful. She is so human. I don't know if she will ever work on music at the scale she has done in the past and I wouldnt blame her if she didnt want to, because her family and all those against her ruined the magic of it. But I am glad she worked on the song with Elton recently and I hope it is making her happy. The way so many people were complicit and didn't help her when they had the opportunity is just baffling to me. I don't know how she did it. It's bad enough when the industry treats you badly, but your own FAMILY, like, all of them either deliberately hurt her or just stood by, watched her suffer for years and didn't do anything. I don't know where she found the strength to keep going but I really hope from now on she experiences nothing but happiness and peace. Also, much as sometimes I hate pop fandoms, in this particular case, THANK GOD for the Britney Army who stood up for her and made the Free Britney movement as big as it was. I hope that her family and especially her father will rot in jail for the rest of their miserable lives. I admire her so badly. And no offense to Oprah but it honestly sheds light on her as well that at the end of the day people just watch your interviews for the sake of sensationalism and little for actual interest that goes beyond projection. That way she just evaded all that and has actual control over her pure emotions without anything being edited a certain way. Actually a close relative in my family has been struggling with a mental illness for almost 30 years and it's incredible how my family just gave up one day trying to help her. That way there a great feeling of isolation even with your closest people occurred and it's so hard to make people sharpen their senses again to realize what they are actually doing to someone by not really caring anymore...
