Probably many of you already know but it was a surprise to me. The string pluck at 00:46 is very similar to Government Hookers synth pluck. I have a feeling that was on purpose as Gaga mentioned she was listening to quite a lot of metal and rock while writing Born This Way. This song was also featured in AHS: Hotel. Thought i would share as previously I couldnt find it on whosampled. Are there any other melodies that you recognized were taken from other songs on Gaga records? If yes, lets share them here! I've always thought Government Hooker had a bit of these two songs: The instrumental: The "As long as I'm your hooker" -> "Groove is in the heart" melody: (1:45) I'm not saying she/they copied these songs but Born This Way was clearly inspired by 80's and 90s music and it's one of the things that make me love it. They're 2000s - 2014 work is sooo good. I still listen to some til this day. Throwback to being 12 in 2008, TH playing on my iPod nano in the school hallway with a twilight novel in hand, Gaga just breaking onto the scene.
