She has a track record of putting out new music every 2-3 years. The one exception was Joanne to Chromatica (4 yrs), but ASIB had a bunch of original songs she co-wrote (unlike the Jazz covers) in between those two... so that probably was why there was a longer gap. I wouldn't be shocked if a new album dropped between the end of TCB and before Joker 2 begins....so Oct-Dec. Some of the tracks were being worked on in 2017. That's half a decade ago. And the album was released over two years ago. There's no way she's not ready to move on now. And you can see at TCB, she's been creatively revived. I don't expect it this year but it'll be out before Joker. I feel like if she does release something it'll be a bit rushed. She usually begins teasing at least 2 years before she releases something and we've seen nothing so far. I think she mainly wrote and composed things for next album but needs months in the studio with producers to record a full album and making plans. I don't see it happening before Joker is totally wrapped early 2023. That said she has a 1.5 year gap before the movie is out.
